How We Met
Chris and Eileen met while students at UC Davis, though they remember meeting eachother at different times.
Chris:
Chris remembers his first encounter with Eileen during a Mga Kapatid Choir practice during his freshman year. The choir members were broken up into different groups to run through an icebreaker where you would say your name and your favorite song.
Chris wanted to use one of the songs from a hip-hop group called Jurassic 5 whom his sister had introduced him too recently. So when his turn came around, he chose Jurassic 5's LAUSD thinking that no-one would know it. Well, right after him was a cute girl wearing a beanie that had ears on it. She didn't just nod, she one-upped him with an even better Jurassic 5 song, the default anthem of the group, Jayou. If only he had known then that the girl in the beanie would be the girl he would ask to be his wife.
Eileen:
Eileen vaguely remembes the choir meeting, but for her, they met at the Memorial Union tables, talking about random Fil-Am stuff, PASE and other things with their friend (and Chris' Best Man) Mike Liwanag. She discovered that Chris, a PASEr and general computer geek, loved slow jams, just like her. They exchanged AIM screen names and slow jam mixes, and the rest is history.
